Providenciales, Turks & Caicos

Beach Enclave, Turks & Caicos

I was lucky enough to be invited to experience the gorgeous Beach Enclave villas on the North Shore of Providenciales this Spring.  In full transparency, this was my first time staying in a Caribbean villa, and I think I may now be spoiled for life when it comes to any other experience.  This is a fabulous place for families, friends getaways, romantic weekends or just somewhere to indulge in total relaxation.  With quick direct flights from many locations and the turquoise water thats even more beautiful than the pictures, Turks & Caicos is a much desired location for everyone.  Beach Enclave is a privately owned villa community where owners can choose to rent their home.  Many of them are rentals but there are a fair share that are part-time homes of some lucky families.

Hospitality: Each villa is staffed with a butler.  What is that?!  In this case it was not an old guy dressed in a tux pouring tea.  Marie, our “butler” was more of a house manager who seemed to magically anticipate our every need as well as keep track of our daily schedule.  I wasn’t sure if I would feel uncomfortable having someone as a staff in our villa with us, but I was pleasantly surprised by how Marie was able to ensure all was set, be friendly & warm and make me feel totally relaxed with her presence.  At the North Shore location there aren’t really any hotel-like amenities so the only other person we really encountered was the concierge Chrissy who were were lucky enough to have dinner with one night.  She was wonderful in suggesting activities for our (unfortunately rainy) stay as well as answer all of our many questions about Beach Enclave.

TIP:

Concierge can arrange activities as well as transportation for you to do anything you want on the island.  However, taxi prices are high since they charge by the person so it is recommended to rent a car for your stay if you plan to venture out of the villa often (which isn’t even necessary since it’s so perfect to stay in!).

Pool & Beach: The infinity pool with views of the perfect turquoise ocean is breathtaking.  Each pool is a little different according to the owners specifications, some with more shallow areas than others.  All are temperature controlled and bubble away over the edge.  We definitely spent a good amount of time relaxing here. The sand at North Shore is a short flight of stone steps down from the house where you come to your beach deck set with chairs, umbrellas, and every ocean toy you might ever need.  Our lovely Marie brought down wine and glasses and fresh towels while we enjoyed the warm Atlantic waters.  This beach is a bit rocky and maybe not the best for smaller kids but the water is calm and lovely to just hang out in.  The beaches at both Grace Bay and Long Bay have easy entrances and calm waters.  Grace Bay is known as the most beautiful beach in the world!  And Long Bay has lots of kite surfers to watch in action.

TIP:

If you don’t feel like snorkeling there are great glass bottom boats that Beach Enclave can arrange for you so you can see all the fish without even getting wet.

Accommodations: The villas vary between 1 & 2 floors and 4 & 5 bedrooms but all are equally as stunning.  Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom and the master suites are very spacious and open.  All the villas are decorated individually by the owners but are all of similar design with special touches throughout.  Most of the bedrooms look right out on the ocean so even the view from bed is to die for.  Of course there are also black out shades in each room so you don’t have to wake up at sunrise…unless you want to.  The wall of windows on the living room fully opens up to the pool deck to create a seamless indoor outdoor space.  Some of the master suites also have indoor/outdoor showers!

TIP:

Get a massage at the villa.  They will set up right on the deck overlooking the ocean and the sounds of the water really puts an added perk to the experience.

Beach Enclave Villa Dining.png

Dining: As with most villas you can pre-order many items to be pre-stocked in your villa upon arrival.  We’d definitely recommend having a private chef for your first night so you can enjoy your surroundings and relax from your day of travel.  We had this lovely experience where our Chef Ro made a fabulous conch stew along with surf & turf.  This may convince you to keep a chef for your entire stay!  Otherwise there are ample amounts of restaurants on the island which are an easy drive or cab ride away.  There is the famous Fish Fry every Thursday night which is a must do for local flavor and eats.  We also got to try vegan & vegetarian food from Retreat which was amazing, and they deliver right to your villa. The island is busy so make reservations wherever you decide to go, just ask concierge.

TIP:

Beach Enclave makes two trips per day to the store, so you’ll never go without.

Activities: Turks & Caicos is all about that beautiful turquoise water so most of the activities are centered around exploring the ocean.  You can arrange to rent a boat and cruise around for the day, jumping off to snorkel and swim.  Each villa comes with your own kayaks, paddle board, and snorkel gear,   If you’re looking to test your arm strength there is lots of kite surfing right in front of Beach Enclave Long Bay.  Or go parasailing to view that water from the sky.  We spent most of our time just lazing by the pool and beach at the villa because, why not.  Lots of fun nightlight and restaurants around town and places get hopping late night with dancing.  Beach Enclave concierge is super knowledgable in the what’s what and where to go out.

TIP: There is yoga every morning on the deck outside the fitness center.  The view is gorgeous and the teachers are fabulous!
